Hilltopstay is not just a homestay. It is a place where you truly feel at home. Our tagline is “Feel Like Your Home…”, and we mean it. We built this space with the idea of creating a second home for our guests — a peaceful, welcoming place that gives you comfort, warmth, and a connection with nature.
The idea of Hilltopstay was born in 2020, and after five years of dreaming and building, we officially opened in 2025. In recognition of our efforts to create a homely and quality guest experience, we are proud to be officially classified as a Gold Category Homestay by the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala. We started with one goal — to offer a stay that is homely, simple, and filled with memorable experiences.

Hilltopstay is located in the beautiful Koovappally Village in Idukki, Kerala. It is surrounded by green hills, plantations, and fresh air. More than 400+ tourist destinations are nearby. These include waterfalls, mountain viewpoints, plantations, caves, dams, and adventure spots.

Our Plantation – A Natural Garden
The top of Hilltopstay is full of fruits, flowers, and spices. You can walk through our plantation and enjoy the beauty of nature right outside your room.
Here are some of the things you will see in our plantation:
- Mango varieties: Neelam, Kasheri, Alphonso (Alponsa), and Kattu Mango
- Dragon fruits: Yellow, White, and Pink varieties
- Other fruits: Rambutan and Jackfruit
- Aromatic spices: Pepper, Ginger, Coffee, Turmeric, Clove, Kacholam, and Chitharatha
- Flowers: Orange Mussaenda and Bougainvillea Glabra
Our garden is not just for looks. Guests are welcome to walk through it, learn about the plants, and even taste fresh fruits right from the tree.
